Description
March flies have been observed feeding on crocodiles in Northern Australia. This march fly does not bite humans and appears to be a crocodile specialist. Surprisingly, the flies remain on the crocodile when the crocodile submerges.
Photogravure
A photogravure is a hand-made print from an etched plate using a photographic image. I use a photopolymer plate which is exposed to UV light and etched in water. The direct to plate process involves printing directly onto the photopolymer plate before etching. After hardening the surface of the plate, ink is pushed into the recessed areas, the surface polished and the image is printed onto dampened paper using an etching press.
