Laure Nebout-Reyx

Laure is a French artist specialising in watercolours inspired by animals and nature.

She is also also a baker at the French bakery, *Chez Coco*, located on the same street as the gallery! 

For eight years, she created upcycled clothing under the name “Alory”—and she loved it! She ran a collaborative shop in Lyon and sewed everything from swimwear and wedding dresses to wrap tops. In 2023, she felt the need for a break, so she put away her sewing machine and set off to travel the world. She crossed the Atlantic by sailboat and travelled across Latin America by bicycle and hitchhiking. Along the way, she filled travel journals and sold a few watercolours. Upon returning, inspired by everything she discovered, she kept painting. It is with all those beautiful images in mind that she creates her collections today. Now, her journey continues, and she has settled in Kuranda. a village with an artistic atmosphere that she instantly fell in love with. She is inspired by animals of Kuranda and its surrounds.
