From personal reflections to conceptual explorations, the exhibition reveals how “gathering” can speak to place, identity, and memory. Artists Mollie Bosworth, Terry Eager, Catherine Harvey, Kate Prynne, Buck Richardson, Marcia Bird, Robyn King, Toni Rogers, Kerry Geck, Colin Free, and Bronnie Warburton present a rich and thought-provoking collection that celebrates the creative breadth of the Co-op community.
The Kuranda Arts Co-operative is an incorporated, not-for-profit organization that has been at the forefront of the local arts community for 28 years. Located in the heart of Kuranda on Coondoo Street, its gallery showcases a vibrant and ever-evolving collection of artworks created by local artists. From ceramics and painting to textiles, sculpture, and mixed media, the Co-operative celebrates the diversity of artistic expression found within the rainforest village. More than just a gallery, it serves as a nurturing space where artists are supported in developing their practice, exhibiting their work, and engaging in collaborative projects. Through exhibitions, workshops, and community events, the Co-operative fosters creative growth and connection, enriching both artists and audiences alike.
