Kasey Kennedy

Born and raised in Far North Queensland, Kasey Kennedy, is a local emerging artist practicing in Kuranda. Following her graduation from nearby Smithfield State High School in 2022, with a Dux award in Visual Art, Kasey has continued to pursue her passion for the creative, exhibiting at galleries across Cairns, including the Tanks Art Center, Courthouse gallery and Crate 59 gallery.

Taking inspiration from the surrounding flora and fauna, Kasey’s work reflects and encompasses the dreamy atmosphere of our local rainforests and creeks. The desired effect is achieved through layering and blending coloured pencil over many hours. The whimsical scenes Kasey illustrates, often invoke a feeling of serenity.
